the problems in Japan are truly depressing. if those same problems had happened in America, you'd be seeing people going nuts with looting and rioting.
Libya, on the other hand, is concerning. with all the problems in the middle east & north africa, i'm concerned that groups like Al-quaeda will take control.

Well on one hand I understand it. Their people need help... on the other, we already have a war in the middle east to tend to.. and our country is in debt way over our heads. So adding to the list doesn't help us as a country, though helping them helps us as a population of the world.

i think the big problem we have is that we, as Americans, are already spread thin with enough problems. i don't see how we can deal with helping the Lybians while dealing with our own problems.
