Do you believe in evolution, or that God made everything?

I believe both, in a way. I believe that God created the world, and the creatures on it. But I believe that to some degree evolution is the reason humans ended up here.

i'm not entirely convinced about God or creationism, at this point. i tend to lean more towards evolution. guess my hardest point with creationism is that the only real supporting evidence that religion uses is some form of a written story (Bible, Koran or other texts). to me, that doesn't quite equal proof of a greater all knowing entity.
not going to insult religion, as there are redeeming qualities.

I see what you mean on lack of proof. I suppose that's why they call it "faith"

precisely. besides, if you believe in God, only to find out that He isn't real, you lose nothing. if you don't believe & He does exist, you've got a hell of a problem.

Haha good point. Though it depends who you ask, some would say that athiests go to Hell, (which I'm not so sure I believe, personally... seems a bit harsh as long as you still lead a good life) and some would say that as long as your'e a good person you'll go to Heaven.

then others will say that you need to believe in Jesus, that being a good person is really irrelevent. others believe you have to go through certain religious rituals, or follow a truly strict way of living. way too many interpretations on how to live.
it's hard for me to believe that allt these different religiouis groups can possibly be right, while everyone else is wrong. i know that as a bit of an atheist, i know i can easily be wrong on my views. i know that i stand a chance at burning in Hell for how i live and how i view religion.

Personally I think the basics of it are right.

I strongly believe in creationism for personal reasons, subjective evidence, ect. Also, I never really bought that EVERYTHING on this earth derived from a single-cell and that we have no higher purpose in life. Evolution exists, there's no doubt about it. I just don't believe that it's "what started our world." If that makes sense o.O

here's a thought. if a higher power created everything, then wouldn't evolution be a creation of that higher power? couldn't it be argued that the higher power is merely allowing a certain amount of changes to take place?

I am with you, too. I personally believe that when God created the earth, not all the creatures and beings he created looked as they do now. Evolution (within God's guidance) has caused that change over time.
